Google has been slowly attacking Apple on the Smartphone front since Android’s release. More recently however Google has been replacing core iPhone apps. In July Google launched Chrome for the iPhone which is made to replace Safari, then Google released Google search for the iPhone which is replacing Siri, and now last month Google has release Maps and YouTube for the iPhone to replace Apple Maps and the video app Apple removed during the last update.
Google has decided that is not a good place to stop either, in fact Google plans on throwing many resources in Apple’s general direction. Also Google has been expanding in its iOS department by adding many Apple related job posts. If you look at the most downloaded Apps in the App Store it will show that Youtube and Google Maps are at the top. This shows that Google is making headway.
