Facebook may soon be loosening its grip just a little on its service. The social media giant is planning to begin allowing children to sign up for its service. Currently if you are under the age of 13 they will not allow you to join the website (Not that this really prevents children from joining as studies show a large portion of users are under the age of 13 and just lied about their age). Facebook is planning on allowing parents to have their children’s accounts linked to theirs to have control over what their children can do on the accounts. This would allow children to be on Facebook in a safer manner so long as the parents set the appropriate settings for their children’s accounts.
