While this is not a very current topic it’s worth noting the Douglas Engelbart passed away this month on July 2nd. Engelbart was 88 and passed away in his sleep. While many people don’t know what Engelbart did by his name alone they have most certainly been impacted by his inventions.
Engelbart was the inventor of the first computer mouse. Engelbart also had work behind the first graphical user interfaces, and hyperlinks which we all use today as well. Many consider Engelbart to be a visionary to the technologies we all know and love today. Without the work Engelbart did on the technologies he released we would likely not use computers in the way that we do today.
