Inside Business Development Representative

The purpose of the Inside Business Development Representative position is to increase Tech Experts’ existing client base. The primary focus of the Inside Business Development Representative is to locate and qualify new prospects by using Tech Experts’ defined procedures and best practices to generate interest in our services and products.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Responsible for prospecting and qualifying new sales opportunities
• Source new sales opportunities through inbound lead follow-up and outbound cold calls and emails
• Maintain and expand the company’s suspect and prospect databases
• Consistently meet or exceed activity goal of 200 to 300 dials per week
• Consistently meet or exceed activity goal of 20 to 30 decision maker conversations each week
• Consistently meet or exceed activity goal of 2 to 4 first time appointments per week
• Effectively communicate features and benefits of solutions and manage prospect expectations
• Receive requests for service details from prospects and provide timely responses
• Maintain in-depth product knowledge of the service offerings of the company
• Properly enter all sales leads and prospects into ConnectWise in a timely manner
• Perform sales procedures through activities and opportunities in ConnectWise and remain compliant with defined policies and procedures
• Work through a daily list of sales activities in ConnectWise
• Consistently update required activity recordkeeping

Additional Duties and Responsibilities:
• Attend weekly sales meetings and ensure sales opportunities are compliant with company policy
• Develop in-depth knowledge of the service catalog and how it relates to customer’s needs
• Review IT publications and online materials to remain up-to-date with current and future technologies emerging in the industry
• Responsible for entering time and expenses in ConnectWise as they occur
• Understand processes in ConnectWise by completing assigned training materials and blueprints on the ConnectWise University
• Enter all work as activities or service tickets into ConnectWise
• Route qualified opportunities to the appropriate Outside Business Development resource for further development and closure
• Research accounts, identify key players and generate interest
• Achieves and maintain a positive rapport with prospects

• Inside sales and business development experience with selling any of the following: IT services and products, managed IT services, or IT consulting
• Possess a track record of prospecting, qualifying, and managing customer commitment as a part of the sales process
• Demonstrated level of success in the development of client relationships
• Proficient with general office applications
• Enjoy working with customers and external audiences
• High energy and drive with good negotiation skills
• Strong organizational, presentation, and customer service skills
• Skill in preparing written communications and materials
• Interpersonal skills: such as telephone skills, communication skills, active listening and customer-care
• Ability to multi-task and adapt to changes quickly
• Typing skills to ensure quick and accurate data entry
• Self-motivated with the ability to work in a fast-moving environment
• Track record of over-achieving quota
• Strong phone presence and experience dialing dozens of calls per day
• Experience working with a CRM system
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills
• Strong listening and presentation skills
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively

This is an hourly position, either full or part time depending on the selected candidate, with possibility of performance incentives for meeting activity goals.
