Google just updated one of the programs within their popular Google Docs platform. Google Spreadsheets now has the ability to have cells locked down so that it prevents a document from having those ranges changed. This new feature is especially useful Google says when multiple users are working on the same document so the locked cells do not mistakenly get changed.
While this feature has been available in MS Excel for some time, Google is constantly updating their Google Docs platform to be more competitive with other software providers offerings.
Google Docs is also offering a new feature they’ve named “Regular Expressions” that allows users to search a documents cells based on specific criteria. This new feature will help users that work off of large documents more easily find the information they are looking fo without having to manually scan a document for the information.
