R2 Studios is a company dedicated to home automation and home theater control. They have already created an App for Android call R2 Control for Crestron that can be used to control home devices such as: home theater equipment, lighting, security, thermostats, and other connected home devices.
Microsoft Apple, and Google were all looking into acquiring R2 late last year. Well it seems that Microsoft has won the bid. They could have purchased this company to further the home entertainment past the Xbox and Kinect.This could be a step in home control with a software created by the software giant, Microsoft. As i have mentioned in my previous post that Microsoft is always looking for new technology to develop and its amazing R&D department.
