Facebook, everyone’s favorite social networking site is working on taking its services a step further. Facebook announced that users in Canada that have an iPhone can use Facebook to make phone calls. Not only will they have the ability to make phone calls but they are testing a VOIP feature set to allow users to also have voice mail through Facebook.
This new feature uses you phones data rather than its voice minutes allotted by the carrier. While this new feature gives users another way to user their cell plan, those of you with capped data plans may not get as much use out of this as others. Some users with new plans from carriers may find this app useless due to the caps on their data.
