In celebration of the fifth anniversary of the popular ‘Words with Friends’ game, Zynga has launched a major update to the social word game.
The updated version of the ‘Words With Friends’ game boasts the inclusion of a number of new features — most of which have been frequently demanded by die-hard fans. The updated edition also incorporates a simplified and more modern design.
According to the details shared by Vaibhav Sahgal, Zynga’s general manager for ‘Words With Friends,’ the board of the updated game is largely the same as the original one so long-time users wouldn’t feel alienated. However, the game now features an easier-to-navigate interface and improved gameplay.
One of the most noteworthy new features of the updated ‘Words With Friends‘ is a single-player mode called Solo Play, which was probably the most requested addition that gives the players the ability to play without an Internet connection. The Solo Play feature enables users to practice their word skills when they have spare time on hand like during long flights or while waiting for friends.
Jonathan Knight – Zynga VP of games – said that the ‘Words With Friends’ update “offers the same entertaining word game players have loved for the past five years with an abundance of new features that players have asked for.”
