After weeks, or maybe months, of nonstop talk and expectations regarding Android 4.4.3 KitKat, it would appear that the software is finally ready for a release date.
It’s arguable that Android 4.4.3 KitKat is probably the most highly-anticipated software update ever among those that aren’t upgrades from one Android iteration to another, like Gingerbread to Ice Cream Sandwich or Jelly Bean to KitKat.
After all, Android 4.4.2 KitKat has proven to be a very buggy piece of software for many users, and Android 4.4.3 KitKat has been teased as mainly being a bug fix. That bug fix may be coming very soon. T-Mobile said that it plans to roll out Android 4.4.3 KitKat for the Nexus 7 and Nexus 5, and in typical Uncarrier fashion, T-Mobile seems to be very insistent that both Google-branded devices will be upped to Android 4.4.3 KitKat.
According to T-Mobile, the updates will focus on bug fixes, but also on other things, such as security improvements. Still, the bug fixes are expected to remain at the heart of this update. But users should also temper their expectations a bit, as Sprint announced in April that it will be rolling out Android 4.4.3 KitKat for the Nexus 5. That didn’t happen after all due to some unspecified issues, and Sprint customers are still waiting for the software to arrive. Another thing users have to deal with is that the update should be released in phases. This is seldom ever a pleasant thing to look forward to, but that’s simply the way Google has always done things, and users will have to be patient, as it will/may take a few weeks for the update/roll out to begin and complete.
